Circle of Fifths Music Academy is where your music journey begins. We are dedicated to nurturing individual talent through a balanced curriculum that combines theory with hands-on practice. Led by passionate full-time musicians, our academy offers personalized training across a wide range of instruments from guitar, keyboard, drums, and ukulele to wind instruments like flute, saxophone, and trumpet. We also specialize in vocal coaching and Indian classical instruments including sitar, tabla, veena, and mridangam. Whether you're a beginner or advancing your skills, we provide a comprehensive and inspiring musical experience for all ages.
About OUR Founder
Amit Das
Dr. Sankar Mukherjee
Amit, a multi-instrumentalist from Kolkata, began his musical journey at age eight. Over time, he mastered the guitar, ukulele, and bouzouki, eventually founding The Pedestrians, a Bangalore-based rock band known for winning multiple Battle of the Bands titles at events like Sir MVIT’s Kalanjali, KSIT’s Ananya, and New Horizon’s Sargam.
As a session guitarist, Amit has performed with various prominent bands in Bangalore. His dynamic stage presence and skill have led to judging invitations at prestigious competitions such as PES University’s Aatmatrisha, IIT Kharagpur’s Spring Fest, and St. Joseph’s Kalotsav.
With over a decade of teaching experience, Amit founded Circle of Fifths Music Academy in Koramangala, now a well-regarded school known for personalized learning and a thriving community. He’s also been featured in media and frequently speaks at universities, sharing insights from his musical journey.
Dr. Sankar Mukherjee is an Associate Professor specializing in Digital Marketing, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship. With over 12 years of corporate experience, he has held leadership roles in sales and marketing at renowned organizations such as Wipro, IFB, Colgate-Palmolive (India), Reliance Communications, and Airtel.
He has also taught at several prestigious institutions across India, including GITAM University, Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences, Galgotias University, GIBS Bangalore, and Ramaiah Institute of Management, Bangalore. He holds a science degree from the University of Calcutta, an MBA from Sikkim Manipal University, and a postgraduate degree in Digital Marketing from Purdue University, USA. He has further earned an M.Phil. and PhD with research focused on Social Marketing (CSR) and Digital Marketing.
His academic interests extend into ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) as a social science researcher. A passionate advocate for entrepreneurship, Dr. Mukherjee has played a key role in nurturing entrepreneurial skills among students and emerging business leaders. He has published extensively in reputed journals including Scopus, ABDC, and the European Case Centre, London.
An avid reader and environment enthusiast, he is also the founder of Wisdomaia, a leadership platform dedicated to empowering future social leaders.
